We, the Chin youths who, for reasons of prolonged and sustained political repression in Burma, have come to North America, solemnly believing in the importance of
- Youth role in shaping the future of our homeland/Chinland,
- Laying out a foundation on which to build national unity, mutual respect, solidarity and greater understanding through a unified effort
- Desiring to regain our national self-determination in its greatest measure,
- Believing in promotion and protection of our national heritage, culture and traditional values as an important means of preserving our national identity, Steadfastly resolved to establish Chin Youth Organization (CYO) and duly adopted this constitution as our fundamental and guiding principles.
